Day Ten of Thirty Days of Writing, the kitten edition

A kitten is chiefly remarkable for rushing about like mad at nothing whatever, and generally stopping before it gets there – Agnes Repplier

Today’s quote is brought to you by the initials B and S (for BooSocks).

There is nothing more delightful than watching a kitten do, well, do anything. Their curiosity is delightful. Their play is endearing, followed by some bloodletting but they’re so damn cute that bleeding seems so insignificant. Their sleep is so deep it explains how they are able to wake up and spring about as if they were windups with malfunctioning mechanisms.

Just so much fun to watch. I’m not getting much done while chasing behind BooSocks. Lucy the Dog is starting to tolerate her a little more now. They actually played together a little bit before it exhausted the poor pooch and she had to go have a lie down, while BooSocks bounced to the next Incredible New Find To Play With Weeee!

I’ll be sporting scratches and scars for a while, I suspect.

Day Ten is rather short since I’m not much for discussing current projects in detail. It sucks my creative energy away and then I’m just not inclined to write it. I’d rather be writing it than writing about it, at any rate. Read the rest of this entry »
